“I play the notes as they are written, but it is God who makes the music.” ~ J. S. Bach
Music and singing are central to life and worship at Montauk Community Church. Whether singing with the choir or with the congregation on a Sunday morning, or listening to a Friday night coffeehouse, we believe that the grace and beauty of God is present in the music.
The MCC Choir is under the direction of our Choir Director/Organist Lydia Shaternik-Burns. All who like to sing are welcome to join. We rehearse on Sundays at 8:00 am.
We are a singing church. Our worship music is drawn from traditional hymns, contemporary songs of faith, as well as more contemplative music. We seek to create a safe and welcoming space where people of all skill levels can find their voice as part of a worshiping community.
We host an intimate music coffeehouse for our Montauk friends and neighbors one night each month during the off-season. Choir members and other MCCers periodically join with others to sing, play an instrument, or just have fun in support of area fundraisers and other community music concerts and events.

Community fund raisers are held throughout the year with members of the choir and the community joining together to sing, play an instrument, or just have fun.
